Start with the built-in Practice menu

For the quickest setup, use CS2's own Practice screen before opening the console.

    Play → Practice

    Open Practice from the main Play menu.

  2. 02

    Choose Competitive

    Use a standard defuse-map ruleset.

  3. 03

    Select your map

    Load the map whose utility you want to drill.

  4. 04

    Enable the helpers

    Turn on Infinite Warmup, Infinite Ammo and Grenade Camera.

Enable the developer console first

Open Settings → Game, set Enable Developer Console (~) to Yes, then press the tilde key after your private map loads. If CS2 reports an unknown command after an update, omit that line and use the matching built-in Practice toggle.

A repeatable five-minute drill

    Find a nade

    Choose a map, utility type and useful landing spot.

  2. 02

    Match the landing

    Use the radar marker as the result you want to reproduce.

  3. 03

    Repeat the throw

    Open the guide for its full position, aim and movement reference.

  4. 04

    Rethrow and adjust

    Replay the last grenade and correct one variable at a time.

  5. 05

    Save the lineup

    Keep the few throws that solve situations you actually play.

Use the radar result as your target, then open the guide video for the complete position and aim reference. A landing marker alone is evidence of the result, not complete throw instruction.

CS2 nade practice questions

Do I need console commands to practice nades?

No. CS2’s built-in Practice screen can enable Infinite Warmup, Infinite Ammo and Grenade Camera without a config. The downloadable config adds a consistent private-session setup, removes bots and extends the round timer.

Where should I save dailycsnades-nade-practice.cfg?

In Steam, right-click Counter-Strike 2, choose Manage and Browse local files, then open game/csgo/cfg. Save the file there and enter exec dailycsnades-nade-practice in the developer console after loading a private Practice map.

How do I rethrow the last grenade in CS2?

Enter sv_rethrow_last_grenade in the console after a grenade lands. The downloadable config lists it as an optional command instead of executing it automatically or changing one of your existing key binds.

Will practice commands affect matchmaking?

These server settings are intended for your private Practice session and cannot change Valve matchmaking servers. This config also avoids persistent key-bind changes. Leave the practice match when you are finished.
